A late birthday present

{So many flavors of Kit-Kat}

This morning there was a knock at our door. When Celestra opened the door, she found a package on the doorstep, all for her. She, at first, thought the package was for me, until she saw who it was from. Once again our friends from Canada had sent her a really fun birthday present, even if it was a bit late. Inside she found Kit-Kat after kit-Kat. So many different forms of kit-kats (her favorite candy bar). Neither of us ever knew that most of the varieties to be found inside the package even existed. Since then, she has been sampling them all. So far she loves the cookie style and the petites. She says the apple variety is only so-so. We shall see what she thinks of the rest but she is sure having fun with all of her kit-kats. Thanks again, Matthias and Jasina for an excellent birthday present. Cele loves it!

It's campfire time!!! Finally!!!!!

Yesterday Celestra, my friend Laura, her dog Hamlet, and I went up into Logan Canyon for a campfire feast of hot dogs and smores. Ya gotta love it when the warm weather finally arrives and you can actually enjoy the tastes of the season. We had a great time out and about, enjoying the warm weather, though I think Laura had a bit too much fun with the fire...

Now I must mention here that there was an ulterior motive for Laura with the fire. She had a stuffed bear that represented an ex-boyfriend that she decided needed to be destroyed by fire...

As Laura put it, the burning was rather 'cleansing' for her. We will leave with that. Just remember, you were warned... And yes, I know, I have very strange friends.

Hippity Hoppity Easter has come and gone once again

Happy Easter to all! This year Celestra and I just took it easy. We dyed eggs on Saturday night after she got back from Baby Animal Days with her dad. Sunday Celestra woke to find the Easter Bunny had, once again, remembered her and gave her way too much chocolate.

Not that she was complaining. She also recieved a cute new bunny and the movie "Bedtime Stories". Later that day we made stops at both Amma and Grandma Eiko's house. We got to enjoy a nice relaxing dinner with Grandma Eiko as well. Thanks Grandma Eiko, dinner was great!
